## What this page publishes

Everything we publish about ourselves is checked before it goes out, and the checking is here rather than in a drawer. This page is the index: what we measured, where the data came from, what we do with yours, and what is still broken.

## The numbers, and where each one comes from

Every public figure on this site is declared once, in a single module, with its measurement date, the window it covers, and the rows excluded from it. Nothing is retyped into a page. If a figure below and a figure on the homepage disagreed, the build would fail rather than deploy.

- **296,010** — lift-status snapshots, March 13 to August 23, 2026
- **4,522** — webcam crowd counts, on 6 lift lines at a California ski area
- **4.18** — minutes of average forecast error, against an average line of 2.11 minutes
- **12.7%** — of issued forecasts could be scored at all

**Why we exclude the simulator.** Our mountain simulation writes synthetic resorts into the same production tables as the real ones. Three of the four wrong numbers we corrected in August 2026 were wrong because those synthetic rows had been counted inside a figure presented as real-world observation. Every number on this site now carries the exclusion rule that keeps them out.

## The rest of the Trust Center

- [Accuracy](/trust/accuracy/): How wrong our forecasts are, by how busy we said it would be, lift by lift.
- [Methodology](/trust/methodology/): How the figures are produced, what we filter out, and what we do not filter that we should.
- [Data sources](/trust/data-sources/): Every outside source we read, who owns it, and what we keep.
- [Privacy](/trust/privacy/): What we collect, who else sees it, and the things we deliberately do not do.
- [Security](/trust/security/): How access is enforced, and how to report a vulnerability.
- [Accessibility](/trust/accessibility/): What works, what is known-broken, and how fast we answer.
- [AI transparency](/trust/ai-transparency/): Where a model is in the loop, which providers, and what is sent.

## Who this is

LiftLine AI is a one-person company. It is operated as a sole proprietorship by its founder, who is still in high school. Both halves of that are true and neither is a disclaimer.

LiftLine AI is operated by Lucas Jaeger, sole proprietor. There is no separate legal entity; LiftLine AI is a trade name and the legal person is its founder.

LiftLine AI is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by a California ski area, Alterra Mountain Company, Vail Resorts, Ikon Pass, Epic Pass, or any ski resort.

## Current status

Live predictions are paused for the off-season and return for the 2026-2027 winter. Scoring resumes as resorts open.

Snowcat launches on November 13, 2026 for iPhone, iOS 17 or later.

## Questions we get asked

- **What is LiftLine AI?:** LiftLine AI is the company and winter-resort intelligence platform behind a live mountain simulation, the LiftLine web application, and Snowcat for iPhone. LiftLine AI is a one-person company. It is operated as a sole proprietorship by its founder, who is still in high school. Both halves of that are true and neither is a disclaimer.
- **What is Snowcat?:** Snowcat by LiftLine AI is the consumer iPhone app for lift forecasts, conditions, 14-day planning, widgets, Liftie, and offline access. Snowcat launches publicly on November 13, 2026. The canonical product page is https://liftlineai.app/snowcat/.
- **Is LiftLine live right now?:** No. Live predictions are paused for the off-season and return for the 2026-2027 winter. Scoring resumes as resorts open. The homepage has a mailing list for build updates.
- **Which ski resorts does LiftLine cover?:** a second California ski area is open to everyone and a California ski area is in limited testing. 11 resorts are logging lift status while we build. A mountain is listed here when you can use it, not when we start work on it. Requests go to https://liftlineai.app/contact/.
- **How accurate are the predictions?:** They are estimates built for trip planning, not minute-by-minute guarantees. Scored against camera-derived waits at a California ski area, the day-of forecast has a mean absolute error of 4.18 minutes across 554 forecast-hours over 100 lift-days at a California ski area, April 5 to June 10, 2026. Over those same hours the average line was 2.11 minutes long, so most of that error is us over-calling a quiet lift. It covers 12.7 percent of the forecasts issued in that window; the rest were never observed and so were never scored. The full scoreboard, including where the forecast is worst, is at https://liftlineai.app/trust/accuracy/.
- **Is LiftLine free to use?:** Yes. Crowd level per lift — Light, Moderate, or Heavy — for public resorts, no account required. LiftLine Premium adds: Full hourly wait curves, forecasts that move with the day, Liftie, widgets, offline access, and trips.
- **Does LiftLine work on mobile?:** Yes. LiftLine works in a mobile browser. Snowcat brings the consumer experience to iPhone with home screen widgets and offline access on November 13, 2026.
- **Is LiftLine affiliated with a California ski area or Ikon Pass?:** LiftLine AI is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by a California ski area, Alterra Mountain Company, Vail Resorts, Ikon Pass, Epic Pass, or any ski resort.
- **Who runs LiftLine AI?:** Lucas Jaeger is the founder of LiftLine AI, the creator of Snowcat, and the engineer leading its development. LiftLine AI is operated by Lucas Jaeger, sole proprietor. There is no separate legal entity; LiftLine AI is a trade name.

## For press

The paragraph below is the approved boilerplate. It is generated from the same declaration the rest of this site renders from, so copying it cannot introduce a figure that has moved. If you need a number that is not here, ask rather than deriving one.

LiftLine AI builds a live simulation of ski resorts: every lift, run, and lodge on a real GPS map, thousands of simulated skiers riding it at real speed, and live observations pulling the model toward reality all day. 4 products read from or build that engine — Snowcat, LiftLine for Web, LiftLine Simulator, and LiftLine Graph.
